The Federal High Court sitting in Kano has ruled that the Kano Public Compliant and Anti-Corruption Commission, PCACC, has no power to probe the immediate-past governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje over the viral dollar bribery video.

The presiding judge, Justice Abdullahi Liman while delivering his judgement on Tuesday, said the offence is a federal offence that can be prosecuted by the Attorney General of the Federation and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

Justice Liman however said the Kano anti-graft agency has a limitation to investigate the former governor.

Meanwhile, speaking with newsmen shortly after the judgment, the counsel to anti-graft agency, Usman Umar Fari said they will challenge the judgment at the Court of Appeal.
