‘FAKE’ TRADITIONAL RULER ARRESTED IN LAGOS

A man identified as Olugbenga Jeremiah Oduwole who claims to be a Yoruba king has been arrested by the Lagos state police command.

Oduwole reportedly paraded himself as a Yoruba monarch with the title of Oriade Of Iranmiyi Kingdom, Adeyenmi II, with his purported palace situated at No 1, Palace Way, Iranmiyi Kingdom, Ogun State.

It was gathered that  his arrest came after the Oba of Kweme Kingdom in Badagry, Aholu Olalekan Sejiro James, got information that Oduwole was claiming to be his friend and using that to collect money from people.

A team of detectives from Ifako Police Station arrested Oduwole on December 21, 2017, in Gbagada and transferred the suspect to the Police Force Headquarters in Ikeja.
