A dispute about the customary asoebi dress is supposedly what led to her passionately confronting and escorting people out of the celebration in the now-famous video.

In the recently discovered video, Mrs. Bucknor gave her account of events while speaking in Yoruba.

She clarified that the unexpected attendance of several people at the gathering who she had not personally invited was what had caused her irritation.

These people reportedly bought the asoebi clothing that was worn to the party.

Mrs. Bucknor said that she did not intend for them to attend the event and that she immediately refunded their asoebi payment after learning of their attendance.

The unwelcome guests insisted on attending the event against her desires despite receiving a refund.

Alhaja Oluwatoyin Bucknor apologized, saying she was sorry for how she handled the situation and that she could have upset some of her guests.

She begged people who had been hurt by her actions to forgive her. Mrs. Bucknor also expressed her genuine wishes for each and every one of her guests’ long lives and good fortune, expressing her hope that they would live well into their 80s.
